You don’t have to choose between Speech or ABA. You don’t have to stay stuck in professional silos. And you don’t have to navigate complex cases alone.
At Speech & ABA Works, I help parents, BCBAs, SLPs, and educators integrate the best of both worlds - so neurodivergent children (birth–10) receive truly collaborative, neuroaffirming, and effective support.

I evaluate communication and behavior together because they go hand-in-hand, so nothing is missed.

Goals and strategies are designed using both speech-language and behavioral frameworks.

Through coaching support, I ensure strategies are applied confidently for lasting impact.
A speech-language pathologist, a behavior analyst, a full-time instructional coach, and the founder of Speech & ABA Works......
I believe speech and behavior are not competing frameworks. They are complementary sciences. When we separate them, children lose momentum. When we integrate them, children thrive. The two combined "works" magically! That belief became the foundation of Speech & ABA Works.
My mission is simple:
To bridge our expertise so we can amplify our impact - for neurodivergent children and the professionals who support them.
I work at the intersection of:
Speech-Language Pathology principles
Applied Behavior Analysis principles
Neuroaffirming early childhood practice
Trilingual service delivery (English / Cantonese / Mandarin)

Years of Clinical Experience
Children Served
Schools & Clinics Collaborated in Asia & North America
Educators & Clinicians Coached Worldwide
"I help families with children with complex communication disorders and the professionals who serve them break down siloed treatment methods. By integrating the sciences of behavioral analysis and speech-language pathology, I've created a collaborative space that merges strategies from both fields, to translate problem behaviors into the child's first words, and those first words into real conversation."
FOR BCBAs
You have a learner who…
Is progressing behaviorally but speech sounds remain limited
Struggles with functional conversation
Needs stronger academic readiness in reading or writing
Would benefit from deeper language expertise but collaboration feels hard
You value collaboration…but don’t know where to start.
FOR SLPs/SLTs
You have a child who…
Has plateaued in language gains
Presents with significant interfering behaviors that slow down growth
Struggles to regulate enough to benefit from therapy
Needs functional behavioral assessment to unlock progress
You know behavior matters - but don’t always have the tools or support to analyze it.
For PARENTS
You’ve worked with speech therapists or behavior specialists but something still feels incomplete. You want...
A holistic lens
A culturally responsive provider (English / Cantonese / Mandarin)
Someone who sees both communication and behavior as deeply connected
You want someone who truly understands.

I help BCBAs and SLPs who believe in partnership but feel stuck, learn how to collaborate confidently and effectively. Inside this Collective, I bridge ABA and Speech-Language strategies to solve your most challenging (sometimes controversial!) clinical questions.
Navigating and settling the ‘instructional compliance’ vs ‘self-regulation’ debate
The BBO Integration: I create strategies that shape instructional behaviors while teaching self-advocacy of self-regulation, so a child learns when to follow directions but to understand the importance of expressing their wants when needed within clear expectations.

Navigating and Settling the 'AAC autonomy' vs. 'Systematic prompt fading' debate
The BBO Integration: I create strategies to both model and teach communication that is both fluent and self-directed communication
Most professionals work within their own discipline. Few publicly advocate for true SLP-ABA integration - especially within the Chinese-speaking communities.
I bring:
Dual application of SLP and ABA principles
Neuroaffirming early learner practices
Trilingual services (English / Cantonese / Mandarin)
Public education and advocacy in interdisciplinary collaboration
Experience in co-authoring Chinese parent training resources
This is not about blending fields carelessly.
It’s about elevating both sciences with clarity and respect.
I am BOTH! A licensed therapist and an experienced coach, which is precisely what makes my approach unique.
I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 20 years of clinical experience in educational settings. For the last six years, I have also served as a full-time instructional coach within one of the nation's largest public school districts.
This dual background allows me to offer a truly integrated perspective. My therapeutic training ensures that every strategy I share is rooted in evidence-based practices for diagnosing and treating developmental delays and disorders. My coaching expertise allows me to translate that clinical knowledge into actionable steps, helping professionals enhance their performance, troubleshoot complex cases, and achieve their specific career goals.
What sets Speech & ABA Works apart is my deep commitment to SLP-BCBA collaboration. I’ve built my practice around the belief that these disciplines are most powerful when they work in tandem. My clients, whether they are SLPs, BCBAs, educators, or parents, come to me because they share this vision. They are seeking a collaborative partner who understands the nuances of managing cases for children with autism and special needs. Our shared goal is simple, to break down disciplinary silos and work together to enhance therapeutic outcomes for the children we serve.
All services are currently provided remotely via secure video conferencing, allowing me to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, including international clients, professionals and families within the Chinese-speaking communities across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
There is no "typical" length because my coaching model is designed to be as flexible as your needs require.
Some professionals seek me out for targeted support on a specific clinical challenge. This might involve implementing an AAC device, developing an advanced language program, creating a speech sound program for a limited vocal learner, or troubleshooting a severe motor speech disorder. For these focused goals, clients often find they achieve the clarity and results they need in just a few months.
My practice is built on a foundation of mutual respect, understanding, and a simple focus: "helping you achieve your goals". That’s why I don’t believe in offering packages or a set number of sessions.
Instead, you have the freedom to choose a schedule that works for you. Some clients prefer weekly meetings for intensive support, while others opt for bi-weekly or monthly check-ins to maintain long-term collaboration. Each session is an opportunity for you to come prepared with real-world challenges from your practice, and for me to provide professional guidance grounded in the scientific principles of both Speech Pathology and ABA.
Ultimately, the duration is up to you. Some clients feel empowered after meeting a specific objective and move on, while many find the collaborative partnership so valuable that they choose to maintain it for years to come.
I completely understand your concern, and I welcome the opportunity to hear your experiences and answer any questions you may have.
While many in the Chinese-speaking community are still unfamiliar with the value of SLP-ABA collaboration, I have been among the first to openly discuss this topic in various cities and on social media platforms and podcasts.
I believe the current debate often pits ABA against neurodiversity-affirming practices unnecessarily. Here is how I see it: ABA is a neutral science of how learning happens, while neurodiversity-affirming practice is an essential ethical framework for how we apply that science. The problem is never the science of learning itself, but rather its application that neglects the learner's voice and preferences.
My goal is to use the science of learning to help neurodivergent individuals achieve their objectives, while always prioritizing respect, obtaining consent, protecting neurodivergent traits, and addressing only those challenges that impact safety, health, and quality of life.
At this time, I do not accept insurance. My services are focused on professional consultation and coaching, which are distinct from direct clinician-to-client therapy and are not billable through insurance plans.
Because this is a private-pay service, it allows us to focus entirely on your goals without the restrictions or documentation requirements. Payment is due 24 hours prior to the time of service.
If this policy changes in the future, I will be sure to update the information here on my website.
My standard rate for individual 1:1 consultations for SLPs, BCBAs, educators, or parents of autistic students is $150 USD per hour. All sessions are conducted virtually via Google Meet or Zoom.
For Group consultation rates, I welcome you to schedule a brief chat with me so we can discuss the specific needs of your team.
Regarding International Clients:
